Help a Guernsey Child will actively seek to assist disadvantaged local children and young people. 

Some may not be eligible for support from other charities.  It can consider some local charities who need additional funding.  Help A Guernsey Child helps youth organisations, as appropriate, and meets some specific individual needs. 

Every penny we receive is directed towards the needs of children locally.

Here are a couple of examples of how Help A Guernsey Child has helped children within Guernsey.

Wigwam support group - Help a Guernsey Child helped Wigwam by providing funds to pay for travel around Jersey. Nikki Kerr, team leader said " We are very greatfull for the support Help A Guernsey Child has given to our group. With their help we can arrange trips for lots of families to spend the day together.

Guernsey Child Accident Prevention Group - Safety Calling Challenge, 650 children attended a wonderful day to learn about the risk in a safe enviroment. Help A Guernsey Child sponsored the event by paying the rental fee for booking the Scout and Guide Activity Centre for 11 days. Help A Guernsey Child's sponsorship meant the event could take over the whole centre and it did not have to be dismantled over the weekend.
